學校簡介

本園創立於2015年,位處天水圍天盛苑,為香港中文大學校友會聯會教育基金會屬下的第三所幼稚園。本園秉承香港中文大學辦學精神,以「博文約禮」為校訓,培育孩子的德、智、體、群、美,達致全人發展。

School Profile

Our kindergarten was established in 2015 and is located in Tin Shing Court, Tin Shui Wai. It is the third kindergarten under the CUHK Alumni Association Education Foundation. Adhering to the spirit of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, our kindergarten takes ” ‘Through learning and temperance to virtue (博文約禮)” as the school motto, to cultivate children’s morality, intelligence, physique, socialism and beauty, and achieve whole-person development.

課程特色

  • 課程整體以綜合課程推行,以六大學習範疇(語文、幼兒數學、大自然與生活、個人與群體、藝術與創意)為發展骨幹,培育幼兒的全人發展方向。
  • 透過故事教學,配合貼近生活經驗的主題,展開對個人、家庭、社區,以至世界的認知。
  • 本園校本英語活動貫徹以故事教學進行,與中文學習的主題互相呼應,讓學生學習網絡更具統整性,也使他們在參與英語活動時更易瞭解學習內容,提升其學習動機及興趣。
  • 本園以外籍英語老師(NET)及本地語常會(SCOLAR)老師並行教學,為學生學習第二語言-英語打好鞏固的基礎。
  • 為推動學生的品德發展,透過「ICAN全人教育」德育課、國歌、體藝文化分享、節日慶祝等,提升學生的社會公民責任。而且每天早上設有早會,每星期上課第一天將奏唱國歌、校歌,以提升幼兒的個人身份認同感。
  • 透過JELIC多元智能課程,提升學生自主學習能力及學習成功感。此外,學生在進行JELIC寶盒教具時,能從中提升其空間感、思維邏輯、小肌肉精細活動能力等各方面的發展。
  • 本園善用校舍的戶外活動場地,幼兒每天均會到户外場地進行體能技巧及遊戲,鍛鍊幼兒強健的體魄。

 

校園特色

  • 本園根據「幼兒學習環境評量表(ECERS)」(PECERA)優化學習環境的佈置,以國際化標準為校舍的學習場地佈置,配合主題定期設立及更新學習區角(如扮演角、建構角、自然角、圖書角、創作角等),以多元化的物資提供不同學習水平,既提高學生的學習自主性,亦照顧學生的差異性。
  • 踏入本園大門,沿著樓梯到達校舍,沿途特設兩層高的「藝術廊」,配合校園或節日主題定期更新學生的創作成品,供學生、家長、到訪者欣賞,藉以提升幼兒對學校的歸屬感,更增添校園的藝術氛圍。
  • 園內戶外活動區域,建設「綠化園藝區」,加強校園戶外的大自然氣息,優化園地環境,提升幼兒環境綠化意識。在園藝區中並設有「魚菜共生區」予幼兒了解自然界的生命體互相依存的生態循環,讓幼兒認識生物間的關係,進而培養其對每一個自然界的環節具有珍愛、保護及尊重生命的價值觀。

 

 

 

學生支援

  • 設有駐校社工為學生及其家庭提供支援。
  • 照顧幼兒的學習多樣性,協助非華語學生及其家長融入及適應校園的生活,另為特別學習需要學生作出及早識別、轉介、適切服務支援。
  • 為配合幼兒的能力發展,開設興趣班(跳舞班、口風琴班、小提琴班)予以發掘孩子的潛能,擴闊對世界的認知。
  • 成立步操小鼓隊、快樂小蜜蜂隊伍,培育幼兒團隊精神,投入群體社會,加強社交發展。

 

家校協作

  • 透過家長教師會,建立家長與學校的溝通橋樑。
  • 舉辦家長講座,如︰新生家長會、小一入學家長講座、共讀家長講座等,提供適切的家庭教育策略以及升學資訊予家長們,有助學生的成長發展。
  • 舉辦親子工作坊,如︰親子陶泥工作坊、正向教育工作坊、伴讀技巧工作坊等,增進家長的育兒技巧及策略,建立和諧的親子關係。
  • 舉辦家長工作坊,如創意氣球工作坊、CUPCAKE設計工作坊、中秋燈籠製作工作坊、糉香濃情工作坊等,藉以提供家長們正面積極的聯誼機會,亦加深對學校的了解。
  • 家長義工及家長群參與校園節日慶祝活動,如聖誕攤位活動、親子賀年活動、親子共融嘉年華等,融洽相處,投入校園活動。

Curriculum Features

  • The overall curriculum is implemented as a comprehensive curriculum, with six learning areas (language, children’s mathematics, nature and life, individual and group, art and creativity) as the key development, nurturing children’s whole-person development direction.
  • Through story-based teaching strategy, with themes close to life experience, expand the understanding of individuals, families, communities, and even the world.
  • The school-based English activities in our school are carried out through story-based teaching, which echoes the theme of Chinese learning, so that students’ learning network is more integrated, and it also makes it easier for them to understand the learning content when participating in English activities, and enhance their learning motivation and interest.
  • Our kindergarten has native English teachers (NET) and local English teachers (SCOLAR) to provide English teaching, laying a solid foundation for students to learn a second language – English.
  • In order to promote the moral development of students, through “ICAN Whole Person Education” moral education courses, national anthems, sports and arts culture sharing, festival celebrations, etc., to enhance students’ social civic responsibility. In addition, there is an assembly every morning, and the national anthem and school anthem will be played and sung on the first day of class every week to enhance the children’s sense of personal identity.
  • Through the JELIC Multiple Intelligences course, students can improve their independent learning ability and sense of success in learning. In addition, when students use the JELIC learning boxes, they can develop their sense of space, thinking logic, and fine motor skills of small muscles.
  • Our kindergarten makes good use of the outdoor venues of the school building. Children will go to the outdoor venues every day to play physical skills and games, to exercise their strong physique.

 

Campus Features

  • Our kindergarten optimizes the layout of the learning environment according to the ” The Early Childhood Environment Rating Scale (ECERS)” (PECERA), adopts international standards for the layout of the students’ learning environment, regularly sets up and updates the learning area according to the theme (such as Role-play Corner, Construction Corner , Nature Corner, Book Corner, Art Creation Corner, etc.), and provides students with different learning levels with diversified materials, which not only improves students’ learning autonomy, but also takes care of students’ differences.
  • Step into the gate of our kindergarten and follow the stairs to the campus. There is a two-storey “Art Gallery” along the way. Students’ creations are regularly updated in line with the theme of the school or festivals for students, parents and visitors to enjoy, so as to enhance children’s sense of belonging to our kindergarten and increase the artistic atmosphere of the campus.
  • In the outdoor activity area of ​​the kindergarten, build a “Green Gardening Area” to optimize the garden environment, and enhance children’s awareness of environmental greening. In this area, there is also an “Aquaponics Area” for children to understand the ecological cycle of the interdependence of living organisms in nature, so that children can understand the relationship between living things, and then cultivate them to cherish, protect and respect life for every link in nature.

 

Support for Children

  • There is a social worker to provide support to students and their families.
  • Take care of children’s learning diversity, help non-Chinese speaking(NCS) students and their parents integrate into and adapt to campus life, and provide early identification, referral and appropriate service support for students with special learning needs.
  • In order to cooperate with the development of children’s abilities, provide interest classes (dance class, melodica class, violin class) to explore children’s potential and broaden their understanding of the world.
  • Set up Marching Band and Happy Bee teams, cultivate children’s team spirit, participate in group society, and strengthen social development.

 

Home-School Collaboration

  • Establish a bridge of communication between parents and schools through Parent-Teacher Association (PTA).
  • Organizing parent seminars, such as: Freshmen Parents’ Meeting, Primary One Admission Parent Seminar, Co-Reading Parent Seminar, etc., to provide parents with appropriate family education strategies and further education information to help students grow and develop.
  • Organize parent-child workshops, such as: parent-child pottery clay workshop, positive education workshop, companion reading skills workshop, etc., to enhance parents’ parenting skills and strategies and build a harmonious parent-child relationship.
  • Organize parent workshops, such as creative balloon workshop, cupcake design workshop, Mid-autumn lantern making workshop, rice dumplings making workshop, etc., in order to provide parents with positive networking opportunities and deepen their understanding of the school.
  • Parent volunteers and parents participate in festival celebrations, such as Christmas booth activities, parent-child Chinese New Year activities, parent-child inclusive carnival, etc., get along well and participate in school activities.
